Study of Elk Crossing - SJ Merwin Art Painting

In Montana, we often see wild life in our backyards. The antelope roam down our street. Each year mountain lion sightings occur with warnings to parents to make sure their children are not walking alone to school. Billings, the largest city in Montana, has approximately 100,000 people. So, Montana has a lot of rural country. Because of this we often see elk, deer and other wild animals. This is a small studies of Elk I saw recently in Southern Montana. The small studies are used as images to create my larger works. With that in mind, here is a glimpse of Montana... in "Study of Elk Crossing".
