Classical Watercolor painting of two puppies supporting each other as they step off into the big scary world. There is a lovely book called "A Breed Apart" which shows the history of art with dogs as the artists subjects. Dog art was sometimes political. Sometimes dog art was created for the royalty as with Stubbs painting of the Duke of York's favorite canine. And sometimes the dog art gave a message or told a story. This painting falls into the later category and tells the story of connectedness. Our connectedness creates our world. How we connect with our friends, family, and yes, especially how we connect with our animal companions enrich our lives and make us whole.
